Sign Up for Water Management Notifications

Thick forest of trees lining the Santa Fe River.LIVE OAK, FLA., Feb. 19, 2020 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) has created new notification system for minimum flow and minimum water level (MFL) updates. Notifications of meetings or materials associated with current and proposed MFLs will be sent to subscribers via email and/or text message.

An MFL report uses the best science and most accurate data to determine how much water a natural system needs to prevent significant harm. Currently, the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee rivers and associated priority springs are undergoing an MFL re-evaluation. Updates are available through the notification system called Notify Me.

Sign up to receive MFL notifications on the District’s website at www.MySuwanneeRiver.com. Along with MFLs, the District has topics that residents and visitors can sign up for to receive updates. These topics include flooding, land management, careers, press releases and more.

The mission of the Suwannee River Water Management District is to protect and manage water resources using science-based solutions to support natural systems and the needs of the public. The District holds true to the belief of water for nature, water for people. Headquartered in Live Oak, Florida, the District serves 15 surrounding north-central Florida counties.
